Employee Spotlight - April

We sat down with two of our fun-loving Lot Attendants this month and asked them a few questions about working at our store.

Q. What’s your favorite thing about working at Bianchi Honda?
A. Tyler: Everyone I work with! Everyone is really cool and fun to be around.

Scott: I like the people too. I also love driving the cars and seeing how each one is different.

Tyler: I agree. Doing odd jobs for Sean Stone (Resale Manager) and Aaron Hansen (Sales Manager) can be fun, we are always doing something new.

Q. Would you please explain the process of cleaning a fresh trade-in vehicle?
A. Scott: There’s a lot that goes into it. We start off with taking the car through the car wash. After that we clean the tires and engine. We also need to make sure the interior of the vehicle is spotless. Vacuuming and scrubbing the carpets and making the interior look shinny is a big part of the cleaning process. After the interior has been cleaned, we then start work on the exterior. We remove any bugs or tar and unnecessary stickers carefully and clean the windows. When the exterior is finished we put the Bianchi plate wrap and the Bianchi Sticker on the vehicles to give it a finishing touch.

A. Tyler: Finally, we put it through the Auto Butler machine to keep the car looking brand new. When all that is said and done we call to get pictures taken of the car, and we take it up to the Used Car Lot for inspection.

Q. What is something that people would be surprised to find out about you?
A. Tyler: I am currently working on getting my certification in welding. I also broke my neck back in 2010.

A. Scott: I very rarely get more than 4 to 5 hours of sleep a night. I actually really like snow. I snowboard a lot during the winter and it is always surprising to Erie natives when I tell them how much I love snow.

Q. What are some of your favorite things to do outside of the Prep Department?
A. Scott: I enjoy riding dirt bikes, hanging with friends, going on adventures, and listening to and playing music.

A. Tyler: I like to hang out with my friends, play some Xbox, spend time with my girlfriend Jess and sleeping.

Airbag Innovation

Safety is one of the most important features of any vehicle, no matter what the make is.  Honda goes above and beyond in regards to airbag safety.

While some companies comply with government airbag requirements simply by reaching onto the shelf of existing technology, Honda led the industry through advances such as driver and front passenger airbags with "dual output inflators" that adjust the deployment force of the airbags to the severity of the crash, position of the driver and seat belt use.

Honda also introduced the first system to sense when a child or small-statured adult in the front passenger seat is in the path of deployment of the side airbag, and to stop the airbag's deployment until the occupant returns to a desirable position.

Bianchi Wins President's Award for 14th Time

American Honda Motor Co., Inc., is proud to announce that Bianchi Honda has earned the Honda President’s Award for the 14th Time! This annual award is presented to top-ranking Honda dealerships across the country, based on their achievement of excellence in all areas of operation – customer service, satisfaction, sales, training, and facility operation for 2011.

The President’s Award was established in 1995 to challenge dealerships to provide a superior automotive experience. Each year the objectives are modified to stay ahead of current market trends. A major component of the program focuses on the customer experience and is measured via customer satisfaction surveys. Ebby Needs A New Home

Four million cats and dogs—about one every eight seconds—are put down in U.S. shelters each year. Often these animals are the offspring of cherished family pets. Spay/neuter is a proven way to reduce pet overpopulation, ensuring that every pet has a family to love them.  Many cats and dogs who die as a result of pet overpopulation could have made wonderful pets.

A solution is possible and starts with each of us taking one small step: getting our own pets spayed or neutered. To help stop pet overpopulation further, consider adopting your next pet from an animal shelter.

She previously lived with older children and should meet other dogs prior to adoption. She doesn't seem to mind cats and is working on her house training. She's eager to please, listens well, and can't wait to learn new tricks with you!
